High voltage testing and commissioning across Australia

We test, commission and energise high-voltage assets — and stay accountable for the evidence that proves they are ready for service.

WHO WE ARE

Built for work that only gets done once.

TESTRANO Engineering Services is an Australian engineering company built for high-consequence electrical work — transmission and distribution networks, renewable generation, industrial plant and the critical facilities that cannot afford to go dark.

We test and commission high-voltage plant: transformers, switchgear, cables and the protection schemes that guard them. We engineer, configure and prove protection, control, SCADA and IEC 61850 systems. We take renewable connections from agreement through to the day they export. And we run the programs that keep all of it moving to schedule.

Asset owners, contractors and project teams call us when the outage window is fixed, the compliance deadline is real and there is no second attempt. What they get back is not an opinion — test records, result schedules, an issue register and verification an asset owner can sign against.

THE TESTRANO DIFFERENCE

Engineers who sign the test sheet.

Commissioning is the last point at which a mistake is cheap. Every test record we hand over carries the name of the engineer who performed it, and one named lead stays accountable for your scope from first quote to final handover — whoever is on site in any given week.

That works because the method is agreed before anyone mobilises. Procedures, acceptance criteria and reporting format are set at the start, so the result does not depend on which of our engineers is holding the test set.

We tell you what we find while there is still time to act on it, not in the close-out report. Test records, result schedules, an issue register and verification a client can sign against.

SERVICES & MAINTENANCE

Practical support that keeps operations moving.

Energisation is not the end of the relationship. Planned care, condition testing, defect rectification and operational support for assets already in service — as a standing arrangement or a single callout.

01

Planned electrical maintenance

Scheduled care that finds the problem before the outage does.

  • Inspection and asset care
  • Switchgear and transformer servicing
  • Condition reporting
02

Testing, diagnostics & condition

What is degrading, how fast, and what waiting will cost.

  • Partial discharge monitoring
  • Insulation and earthing diagnostics
  • Thermographic inspection
03

Corrective electrical work

Defects closed out properly, with the evidence to prove it.

  • Fault finding on live installations
  • Repair, replacement and retest
  • Root-cause assessment
04

Switching & operational support

Out on time, back on time, nothing left energised that should not be.

  • HV switching and isolation
  • Shutdown and outage testing
  • Return-to-service verification
05

Site equipment

Temporary site infrastructure for project clients, available for hire short or long term.

  • Mobile lighting towers
  • Camera towers
  • VMS boards

EXPERIENCE

The networks our engineers already know.

Our team's experience was built on transmission and distribution networks, utility-scale renewable projects, data centres and heavy industrial plant — across Australia and overseas. That experience came with us when TES was formed.

EVIDENCE & HANDOVER

Every job leaves a record.

We document as we go, so the evidence exists when someone asks for it — at handover, at audit, or two years later when a relay operates and somebody needs to know why.

01

Test records

Every test performed, with the instrument used, its calibration status and the engineer who performed it.

02

Result schedules

Measured values against the acceptance criteria agreed before we mobilised, pass or fail stated plainly.

03

Issue register

What we found, when we raised it, who it went to and how it was closed out.

04

Calibration certificates

NATA-traceable certificates for every instrument used, issued alongside the test reports.

05

Verification sign-off

A statement an asset owner can sign against, confirming the asset is ready for service.

06

Close-out documentation

Marked-up drawings, settings records and anything the operations team needs after we leave.

ABOUT TES

Serious about the engineering. Easy to deal with.

We work on substations, renewable connections, industrial power systems and critical facilities. Our engineers cover electrical design, high-voltage testing, protection and IEC 61850, communications and project delivery — which makes the interfaces between those disciplines ours to manage rather than yours to chase.

Clients bring us in when a deadline is real. We tell them what we find while there is still time to act on it, and we hand over evidence somebody can sign against.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Questions before we start.

What does TES do?

TESTRANO Engineering Services is an Australian engineering company providing HV and LV testing and commissioning, protection and IEC 61850 engineering, SCADA and communications, critical power, grid connection support, project delivery, and ongoing maintenance and asset support.

When should TES get involved?

As early as you can. We can support planning and design reviews, or join later for pre-commissioning, testing, energisation readiness, defect resolution and handover.

Can you take one package or the whole program?

Both. TES can deliver a defined testing or engineering package, or coordinate a broader multidisciplinary scope across the project lifecycle.

What do we get at completion?

Completed test records, result schedules, an issue register, verification evidence and close-out documentation — enough for an asset owner to sign off with confidence.

Do you offer ongoing maintenance?

Yes. Planned maintenance, condition testing, corrective work and operational support are available as a standing arrangement or a single callout.

What states does TES operate in?

Australia-wide, metro and regional, with crews and test equipment mobilised to site. Network authorisations held are listed on the credentials section.
